The other day I was busy in the greenhouse planting seeds. I am pleased to say that some are already showing.
I planted sage, thyme, chives, tomatoes, melons, squash, calendulas, marigolds.
The thyme is looking good as is some of the other flower seeds. I was pleased as some of the seeds were last years! Great to know they still grew!

We have started work on preparing a new garden. This garden is in our back yard and surrounds the very big Ponderosa Pine that sits on it’s own not far from the back door. There is already a little gardent here with irises in it which I have done nothing to since being in Grand Forks. At present it is rectangular in shape and about four feet wide. We intend to make it longer and wider and more hexagonal in shape with two very long sides.
Yesterday we started marking out the boundaries, buying some wood for the boundary, and moving the pebbles that were surrounding the garden out of the way.
Being Sunday today we are having a more leisurely day and will probably tackle it again tomorrow, weather permitting!

I have added Bosun’s web page for April 2007…. Bosun April 2007 . In it I include details of his new collar that I am using to train him. I am hoping it will prevent him from chasing trucks. In the meantime it is improving his behaviour and is especially helpful when I take him for a walk as he no longer pulls on his leash.

I have been back in Vancouver a few days now after having two lovely weeks in the UK. I flew out on March 27th with Air canada, a non-stop flight which I prefer if I can possibly afford to travel this way. I got seats when they had their seat sale so got myself a good price to go to the UK. I am pleased to say the flight arrived in London Heathrow a good FIFTY minutes early (YES! fifty minutes, not five!) as we had a good tail wind. I managed to get the take off at Vancouver on my digital camera and use You Tube to have them on my web page! Flying out of Vancouver
The return flight on April 11th only ended up being ten minutes early, but that was good too! I have yet to examine my digital camera results to see if any of the photos I took are any good to put on my web site!
I find it is always good to see my family in the UK but this time the Universe seemed to be with me all the way and a good time was had every single day. I feel very blessed that I have such a lovely family.
Bosun, our border collie who is now over one year old, went to stay in the kennels at Ladner again, the same as the last time I visited the UK. ( Bosun October)
He thoroughly enjoyed being with other dogs there and we were told he had enjoyed himself. He was certainly pleased to see us all when we went to collect him on Thursday morning (12th April). Jaxx , (http://www.colorwithin.net/index.php?pagename=jaxx) our Shih Zhu,who stayed in the apartment with my working husband while I gallivanted to the UK, was pleased to see me back too and of course went with us to collect Bo. Both Bo and Jaxx were pleased to see each other again.
Both dogs are reluctant to be left alone again and look at us suspiciously when we leave them, but they are quickly getting back to their normal routine! They will ahve another routine to get used to again soon as we make our way back to Grand Forks.

On March 27th this year I set off for the Uk. I flew out of Vancouver International Airport at five thirty and the view was lovely so I took some short video clips of the experience. You can see them on my web page here:
I hope you enjoy the views.
