How to re-upholster dining room chairs.

Posted by Moo on 07 Dec 2008 | Tagged as: Uncategorized, html, web page

I have a new web page. We recently got some new material for our dining room chairs. Although the chairs were only about two years old, the material on them was a cream color and had got stained with wine, paw prints, and from our work clothes when we would sit on the seats before changing our dirty clothes! The web page tells how we re-upholstered the chairs and also has a power point presentation with photos of the proceedure.
I have been finding it difficult to put photos on the site that are jsut little thumbs. So my way around it was putting the photos onto powerpoint, then uploading the power point presentation.

More new web pages and additions during April

Posted by Moo on 02 May 2007 | Tagged as: web page

During the month of April I added a web page for

Grand Forks Daily Weather record .

I was surprised when I got back from my UK travels that we were still having frosts (April 17th). However since that day I have recorded no frosts at all! However I shall continue the weather watch to see when we will be getting hotter! Two years ago we swam on June 1st (2005) at Christina Lake. I am wondering if it will be warm enough for that this year!

Also I have added 4 new book reviews for

fiction books

and 2 new book reviews for

Non fiction books
I also added  pages for

  • Flying out of Vancouver
  • Sayings and abbreviations
  • Bosun April 2007
  • which I have previously mentioned in my blog.
  • Bosun web page for April 2007

Posted by Moo on 20 Apr 2007 | Tagged as: web page

I have added Bosun’s web page for April 2007…. Bosun April 2007 . In it I include details of his new collar that I am using to train him. I am hoping it will prevent him from chasing trucks. In the meantime it is improving his behaviour and is especially helpful when I take him for a walk as he no longer pulls on his leash.

    Sayings and abbreviations

I have added a new web page on Sayings and abbreviations . I would be interested to hear more and have them added to the page so if you have any please add them here! Thanks!

    Flying out of Vancouver

Posted by Moo on 14 Apr 2007 | Tagged as: Uncategorized, web page

On March 27th this year I set off for the Uk. I flew out of Vancouver International Airport at five thirty and the view was lovely so I took some short video clips of the experience. You can see them on my web page here:

I hope you enjoy the views.

    Weather watch

Posted by Moo on 25 Jan 2007 | Tagged as: web page

Some of you might have noticed that since Boxing Day the weather watch ( Grand forks..Today’s weather) has been more accurate and I include a decimal point in the temperatures.

The reason is simple. A very good friend of ours gave us two thermometers for Christmas, both oblong shape and about the size of a Palm Pilot. One of them is the base station thermometer and gives us the indoors temperature and also the outdor temperature. This is because the second thermometer which gives the outdoors temperature, has a long wire attached and at the end of it is the thermometer probe that is outside, while the unit sits inside on a shelf.

It is a great unit. We no longer need to go outside to see what the temperature is, added to which we don’t have to look closely at the mercury level to see where it is. The reading can be in either Fahrenheit or Celcius and since I started off the weather watch in Celcius that is what we have set it to. It really is a lovely gift and gets used daily!
